Oldies Festival: Lottery and gig

It was not planned very well when I took the train north from Steinkjer to Bodø a very cold winterday in January 2002. The main reason I traveled was The Beatniks and Pistoleros who was on the bill. Also The Swinging Blue Jeans played there. In the lottery the winning prize was a Fender strat, and I was the lucky boy. I also had to travel back next year to play as opening-act. What a shock. I had never played the guitar before, only keyboards and bass guitar. But I accepted the challenge and started to practice.

Guitar just arrived at Steinkjer, February 2002. I had to switch because I am lefthanded.

My band was my friend Lars-Erik Faugli on rhythm guitar, Kjetil Storvik on rhythm guitar, Per Olsen on bass guitar and Nils Ole Steinbakk on drums. We only had one rehersal together before the weekend in Bodø.

Rock Café.
We played Shadoogie, Apache, Dance On, Man of Mystery, Wonderful Land and FBI. Here is Shadoogie from the gig at SAS Hotel:

In
2005 I played a couple of tunes with The Saunters, with The Searchers as headliner.
